England currently faces a scarcity of options for the No. 3 jersey, and Steve Borthwick has identified him as a potential long-term solution. He is steadily increasing his physical strength as he matures, making the transition to senior rugby after achieving success in the Under 20 World Cup last year alongside fellow emerging talents Henry Pollock and Junior Kpoku.

"Last season, I played at 108 kg (17 st) or 109 kg (17 st 1 lb). Before matches, I would reach 113 kg (17 st 11 lb). My goal is to reach 115 kg (18 st 2 lb) by the end of the season, but I aim to gain weight in a way that maintains my mobility.

"Gradually, I am making progress. The day before a match, we focus on carbohydrate loading. I attempt to gain 2 kg (4.5 lb) by the end of the week, similar to boxers, consuming pasta, rice, or whatever is available.

"Scrummaging is a matter of pride; it is a test of manhood. While it is eight against eight, individually, it is about personal honor. I constantly remind myself, 'I will not be pushed back; I refuse to go backwards.' Confidence is essential, and I have learned the importance of thorough preparation.

"I was performing well until I faced a challenge against Northampton Saints. Tarek Haffar, who is my age, proved difficult for me in the scrum.

"Such experiences are crucial for reflection and growth. That week, my preparation was not up to my usual standards. Perhaps I had become too comfortable. Complacency is dangerous; it is essential to remain vigilant. It embodies the Mamba Mentality—never relax in your efforts."
